Use by date

In the case of foodstuffs that are highly perishable from a microbiological point of view and that could pose an immediate risk to human health after a short period of time, the expiry date must be indicated instead of the best-before date. Such foodstuffs may no longer be placed on the market after the expiry date. (Further information on this can be found in the “Ordinance on the Labeling of Foodstuffs”).
