The supply pyramid is the hierarchical order of the suppliers of an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). A “1st tier supplier” is a supplier that supplies the OEM directly; the 1st tier supplier is supplied by one or more “2nd tier suppliers”, each of which in turn is supplied by one or more “3rd tier suppliers”.
