rotary sorter

A rotary sorter essentially consists of a large rotating disk that distributes piece goods to end points arranged around the sorter. The disk is divided into segments into which sorting units are fed via a feeder. The rotation of the disk and the associated centrifugal force pushes the units outwards and they are discharged at the target point (chute) via a hinged piece. The output is around 4,000 to 7,000 parts per hour. See ring sorter. Sorting and distribution systems
