Roll carpet
1. refers to a sorting conveyor in which several roller bars are arranged one behind the other. For discharge, the roller bars are lifted and the rollers are swiveled if necessary (swivel roller sorter). The relatively low masses of the roller bars allow short switching times, which enable sorting capacities of typically 6,000 units per hour. Cf. roller bar. – 2. refers to an arrangement of driven roller conveyors in such a way that, in addition to the transport process, a specific arrangement is also achieved, e.g. for palletizing. – 3. refers to a planar arrangement of roller tracks (roller track) in a container flow storage system in order to be able to vary the respective flow width by means of adjustable separating tracks.
