Product data management (PDM): PDM systems manage all data (work plans, data sheets, recipes, parts lists, videos, drawings, etc.) of a product including the history over the entire product life cycle. External partners (e.g. suppliers) and systems (e.g. electronic catalogs) are included in the process. PDM systems support the capture, processing (modification, preparation or conversion) and management of data.
