Peer-to-Peer

(P2P) is a form of data exchange between two stations (peers) or in a network of equal stations (P2P network), which can act both as service providers and service recipients. Internet-based P2P networks are used, for example, as file-sharing networks such as Gnutella or eDonkey. Cf. client/server system.
