Near Field Communication

is a communication standard for the wireless transmission of data over short distances. NFC enables, for example, the transmission of multimedia content between two cell phones in close proximity. NFC is also used for communication in the RFID sector (for passive and active tags). NFC is a peer-to-peer protocol with a relatively high data transmission rate (464 Kbit/s at 13.56 MHz) (peer-to-peer).
