(abbreviated to MDT) is a data terminal that is typically equipped with a simple keyboard, display and scanner. The recorded data (e.g. picking positions) is stored locally in the MDT and then transferred collectively to a base station. In contrast to the radio terminal, the MDT does not work online, but offline.
