Logistics on Demand

(abbr. LoD) 1. refers to logistics services that are provided on demand and as required, e.g. as an ASP service (Application Service Provider). – 2. refers to intralogistics services both in the sense of a physically provided service, e.g. conveyor technology, and in the sense of a service.
A service is demand-oriented in the sense of LoD if it maximizes the benefit during the entire product life cycle in an application-oriented, operation-oriented, customer-compliant and maintenance-oriented manner.
