BGVR

The BG regulations and rules (BGVR) are an important part of occupational health and safety in Germany. They define the requirements for the safety and health of employees in the workplace.

The BGVR are drawn up and regularly updated by the employers’ liability insurance associations. They are based on legal requirements such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) and the Accident Prevention Regulations (UVV) as well as on findings from practice and research.

Compliance with the BGVR is mandatory for companies and is monitored by the responsible supervisory authorities. Violations can lead to fines and other legal consequences.

The BGVR cover various areas, including fire protection, electrical safety, work equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous substances, ergonomic work design and much more.

The aim of implementing the BGVR is to prevent accidents and damage to health in the workplace. They provide clear guidelines and recommendations for the safe design of workplaces and work processes.

The BGVR are therefore an indispensable tool for occupational health and safety in companies and help to ensure the safety and health of employees.
