Adjustment ramps

Adjustment ramps, known internationally as “dock levelers”, represent a crucial interface between truck loading areas and the warehouse floor in logistics. These loading ramps are equipped with movable bridges that can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically. Their main purpose is to compensate for the height difference between the truck loading area (at the rear) and the level of the warehouse floor. This is done within a flexible range of approximately +/-; 80 cm.

The adjustment ramp enables a smooth and efficient loading and unloading process, as it ensures the fast and precise transfer of goods between the truck and the warehouse. The horizontal adjustability of the bridge makes it possible to adapt the angle and alignment of the ramp to different truck models. At the same time, the vertical adjustability enables precise adaptation to the height levels of the truck loading areas.

The use of adjustment ramps helps to speed up workflows and make logistics processes more efficient. A safe and fast material flow is achieved, particularly in combination with forklift trucks and other industrial trucks.

Relevant regulations for logistics companies are set out in Sections 449 and 466 of the German Commercial Code (HGB). These regulations define general rules for the transportation of goods and are particularly important in the context of loading ramps. Adjustment ramps help to effectively meet the requirements of these legal provisions.

The flexibility and efficiency of adaptable ramps make them an indispensable component in modern logistics centers and warehouses. Thanks to their precise adaptability to different vehicle types and loading situations, they help companies to optimize their logistics processes and increase productivity.
